The jacket is made from 14.25oz Japanese selvedge denim, woven on vintage shuttle looms for the kind of irregular texture only slow weaving can produce. The fabric uses pure indigo dyed warp yarns and a natural white weft, resulting in a deep indigo tone that develops beautiful contrast fades over time. The rinsed finish removes shrinkage while preserving the crisp structure of the denim.
True to the original 1953 design, the jacket features the signature front knife pleats with box stitching, a slightly boxy silhouette, and two chest pockets with button flaps.
